Lest We Forget

Our residents at Ryton Towers have been working hard over the past few weeks, along with volunteers from the local community, to knit our beautiful poppies for Remembrance Day. Residents have been discussing their memories of the war, some being happy, and others bringing back some not so pleasant memories. These memories have then helped create our display in the entrance of the home.
We’ve also had a volunteer come into the home to help our residents create their own clay poppies, which have also been used as part of our outdoor display. They have made 100 clay poppies to represent the 100th year of remembrance. Amazing effort!
