Poppy power

The lovely Mary, who lives at our Glenholme House Home, is an avid knitter. As soon as we told her about Newcastle City Council’s call for knitted red poppies for their Old Eldon Square War Memorial, she had her knitting needles out. After making 72 beautiful poppies, Mary took her work to the Civic Center last week and they will feature in the display this week!
