You only get one Mam!
On this World Smile Day, we just have to share these lovely words, written by Keith about his Mum, who lives at our Nightingale Hall.
‘Mams are the ones who smile when you turn up to see them in the residential home where they are now living, remember your name and ask what you are doing there. Hold your hand and every ten minutes, ask you how long it will take you to get home. They laugh out loud at the stories that you tell them, even though they have heard them before. They love to look at the pictures on your mobile phone and say "Oh you do make me laugh!" when you say the same silly things about the photos. They give you a kiss before you leave and, again, ask you how long it will take you to get home... She might not remember that I went to see her yesterday... but l will. You only get one Mam.’
